Stay Put Shoulder Blanket
Whether you call this a cape, a wrap, or any of the other 40-odd synonymns for shawls (according to the Mirriam-Webster dictionary people), the fact remains that this piece is indeed a cozy mini blanket for one’s shoulders!
Worked in easy wash and wear acrylic, this will become a favorite item in your wardrobe. Worked in a special hand-dyed yarn, it becomes a fabulous statement piece!
The shape ensures that the shawl stays put on the shoulders where it belongs, no pins, or buttons, or ties needed!
The pictured sample used Mary Maxim Starlette (100% acrylic; 3.5 oz/180 yds per skein); 6 skeins total: 2 skeins each Azure (A), Natural (B), and Medium Taupe (C).
The size, approximately 18 inches around neck, 23 inches long down front edge, and 112 inches around bottom, is enough to be ultra cozy, without being heavy or cumbersome.
In total 6 skeins were used to make it as long as in the full photo, while the one that shows the shape better only has half the yarn and is still a very usable size!
