The Stay Sail Shawl is a great way to use those super chunky yarns with great colours.

We chose Adriafil’s Candy wool/acrylic/alpaca blend for it’s softness and fabulous colour range. Using size 9mm needles this super easy triangle flies off the needles in no time and is perfect for a beginner knitter.

We also made this shawl using King Cole’s Riot Chunky on 7mm needles, to see how easy it adapts to multicolour yarns.

Candy sample: 1 x each soft grey, teal, rust and soft blue, 400m.

Riot Chunky sample: Hazelnut, 580m.

If using a DK/8ply we recommend using a 5mm needle and around 650-750m of yarn for a decent sized garment.
