Stay Wild Moon Child Top
This pattern is suitable for beginners who would like to challenge themselves and learn new techniques, it requires basic knowledge of crochet stitches:
slip knot, chain, single crochet, double crochet,
how to do colour change (tapestry crochet) and crochet into back loops only.
Pattern is written using US crochet terms.
Finished garment has a floaty look with about 2 inches of positive ease for every size.
You need 5 mm crochet hook, yarn needle, stitch markers, scissors, DK (no 3) yarn or aran/worsted (no 4) if you can meet the gauge; in main colour (MC) and accent colour (AC). I used Hayfield Spirit, shade 402 for my main colour and Sirdar no 1 black for my accent colour.
Yarn requirement per size (approximately):
S: MC - 1010 yards, AC – 150 yards
M: MC – 1020 yards, AC – 155 yards
L: MC – 1035 yards, AC – 160 yards
XL: MC - 1050 yards, AC - 165 yards
2XL: MC - 1070 yards, AC – 170 yards
My tension/gauge is 15 stitches/ 20 rows single crochet (sc) square = 4 x 4 inches.
Finished measurements:
S: fits up to 32” bust
M: fits up to 36” bust
L: fits up to 40” bust
XL: fits up to 44” bust
2XL: fits up to 48” bust
