Simple, bold mittens with a whimsical, color worked, touch. These sleek mittens knit up quickly and are the perfect gift for those you love.

Knit in the round on double pointed needles with worsted weight yarn, these mittens have a simple afterthought thumb. The heart motif uses very little yarn and therefore makes for a great stash buster or showcase for a special yarn. The body of these mittens can easily be knit with a single skein of Malabrigo worsted or a similar yarn.

These are one size fits most and they certainly can be knit longer or shorter or with slightly larger needles to create a more precise fit. Pattern creates a mitten 9.5 inches long (with the directions to make them longer) with a 8.5 inch hand circumference.

There is a chart included for the heart motif. Sample mittens were knitted in Malabrigo Mecha with Madelinetosh DK held double for the contrasting color.
