“Steamer” is worked in the round from the waistband to the hem. Classically simple styling can be adorned as much or as little as desired. Measure the widest part of your hips and add 2-4” to find the size you should make. The original skirt included a 20”W X 15”L rectangular piece of wet-felted “art” attached to watch face buttons at the waistband. You could create a similar piece or work up a lace rectangle to attach. Let your creative side rule and have fun with this one!
