Steampurl
Steampurl is a double-sided trivet knitted in the round. Both sides are worked identically, with an offset cable pattern resembling the curls of steam rising from a cup of tea.
What’s a trivet? ~ a sweet little mat for putting your teapot on. But you can use it for any pot…or vase…or whatever takes your fancy. The double thickness of Steampurl should protect most sensitive surfaces from heat and scratches.
Some clever borrowing from sock-knitting techniques makes this trivet seamless, with minimal finishing.
Steampurl was originally designed for the Augustbird Tea Time Yarn and Tea Club 2015.
