A toe up sock with a traditional style heel flap and an overall slipped stitch pattern perfect for hand dyed yarn.

Knit in the Hawthorne Fingering’s colorway Vancouver, with a ‘scaled’ texture stitch pattern, this sock design is named after the Steelhead that fishermen go out into the local rivers and streams seeking in the northwest.

Instructions are given based on using 2 circular needles with needle 1 as the sole and needle 2 as the instep. If using Magic Loop, needle 1 will be the first half of the stitches and needle 2 the second half. If using DPNs, use the 1st and 2nd DPN as needle 1 and the 3rd and 4th DPN as needle 2.

Slip stitch pattern is provided in both written and as a chart.
