Stegosaurus Dinosaur Amigurumi
Did you know Stegosauruses make great amigurumi pets? Don’t let those scary armored plates and thagomizer fool you, stegosauruses are friendly vegetarians. My Stegosaurus spends hours playing in my salad spinner!
♥Stegosaurus Amigurumi Crochet pattern features step by step instructions, photos and instructions/links on certain stitches. This is a written pattern.
Skill Level: Intermediate - able to crocheting in a round/spiral, single crochet, follow pattern changes, and sewing on many little parts.
♥Supplies needed: Worsted Weight Yarn, DK Weight Yarn, crochet hook, 10mm safety eyes, stuffing and a yarn needle. Yardage = Worsted Weight yarn 56m (61y). DK weight yarn 22m (24y) to 43m (47y) OR use an additional 19m (21y) to 22m (24y) of Worsted Weight.
Note - It’s recommended you use both Worsted and DK yarn (the lighter weight yarn is for the plates and thagomizer). The pattern has instructions for Worsted Weight plates and thagomizer, but the DK weight ones look much nicer and detailed.
♥Stegosaurus measures 9” from nose to tail tip, 5” tall and 3” wide using worsted weight yarn and 4mm hook. Size will greatly depend on your gauge and yarn.
