Bulky (7 wpi; 12 ply; no 5: Bulky) yarn, 70-100g or 135-190 yards
Double pointed knitting needle size US 10 3/4 (7 mm) or to obtain gauge 4” x 4” (10 x 10 cm) = 14 sts x 18 rows (in stockinette stitch)
Few yards of lighter yarn for the ruffle
2 small buttons
