The Stella Tote is a spacious tote-bag with a stranded knitting pattern inspired by traditional Faroese borders. The borders can be knit in either the same colour throughout the bag, or four different colours – the perfect opportunity to use up some scraps.
The bag is knit in the round from the bottom up. The straps are knit in double stockinette, and can be felted for a bit of extra strength. Finally, the bag is lined with cotton fabric.

Colour A: 200 g 3-ply Snældan (130m/50g) or 250 g Filcolana Peruvian Highland Wool (100m/50g).
Colour B: 4 x 15 g 3-ply Snældan (130m/50g) or 4 x 20 g Filcolana Peruvian Highland Wool (100m/50g.)

Gauge:
21 stitches x 32 rows in stockinette on 4 mm needles, or whichever are needed to obtain gauge = 10 x 10 cm.

Suggested Needles:
2 x 4 mm circular needles (80 cm), 3 mm circular needles (80 cm), 3 mm dpns, and possibly 5 mm circular needles (80 cm).

Additional Materials:
0,5 m cotton fabric.
