Stellar snowflake scarf
Wrap up warm in this super oversized crochet scarf with tassel edging and hexagon snowflake design. Perfect on a frosty morning walk with a bright winter coat, or wrapped as a shawl over a chunky knit for a stylish festive outfit.
It’s named after the Stellar Dendrite snowflake, the beautiful snow crystals that have six symmetrical branches. The word dendrite means ‘tree-like’ and inspired the intricate design for each flake.
Skill level: Advanced beginner. Uses basic stitches but possibly some new techniques
for a complete beginner, all fully explained in the pattern with description and photos.
Size: Approx. 220cm x 55cm (without fringe).
Materials needed:
A (snowflakes) - Aran yarn - 503m / 550 yards
B (contrast colour) - Aran yarn - 1,143m / 1,250 yards
5mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle and scissors
Piece of card 18cm long for tassels
