The pattern is inspired by Stellaria – simple white, starlike flowers that are already charming on their own, but really impress in groups. So, I put a lot of them on these socks. When placing the little flower motives next to each other, secondary patterns appear. You can see waves and zigzags running through the pattern. It looks almost entirely geometric now.
The socks are worked from the cuff down with a short row heel. The length of the foot is easily adjustable. You can use just two colors, or you can make it a leftover yarn project, choosing a different color for every pattern repeat.
The instruction includes written directions for every part of the socks and some general remarks on knitting fitting socks in colorwork. Furthermore, charts for the colorwork and a summarizing table with all the measurements and required amounts of yarn/yardage.

SIZES
Socks fit sizes EU 35/UK 3/US 4 to EU 43/UK 9.5/US 10.5.
Measurements of the finished socks are as following:
Size 1 (CO 60 sts): 15.5 cm/6.1 in circumference and 21.5 cm/8.5 in foot length
Size 2 (CO 66 sts): 17 cm/6.7 in circumference and 22.5 cm/8.9 in foot length
Size 3 (CO 72 sts): 18.5 cm/7.3 in circumference and 23.3 cm/9.2 in foot length
Size 4 (CO 78 sts): 20 cm/7.9 in circumference and 24 cm/9.5 in foot length
Size 5 (CO 78 sts): 20 cm/7.9 in circumference and 24.5 cm/9.7 in foot length

Fingering weight yarn or 4-ply sock yarn.

NEEDLES
Set of double-pointed needles 2.75 mm (US 2, UK 12) or size required to achieve gauge.
If desired, additional thinner needles for single color sections.

GAUGE
39 sts and 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm (= 3.9 x 3.9 in)
40 sts and 43 rows = 4 x 4 in
for colorwork knitted in the round.

Das Muster ist inspiriert von Stellaria – einfache, weiße, sternförmige Blumen, die bereits einzeln hübsch sind, aber in Gruppen wirklich beeindrucken. Also habe ich eine Menge von ihnen in diese Socken gestrickt. Beim Nebeneinandersetzen der einzelnen Blumenmotive entstehen sekundäre Muster. Es sind Wellen und Zickzacklinien zu erkennen, die sich durch das Muster ziehen. Es sieht jetzt fast völlig geometrisch aus.
Die Socken werden am Bündchen begonnen und zur Spitze gestrickt; die Ferse wird als Bumerang-Ferse gearbeitet. Die Fußlänge ist somit einfach anpassbar. Es können lediglich zwei Farben verwendet werden oder es kann ein richtiges Resteprojekt werden, indem für jede Musterwiederholung eine andere Farbe gewählt wird.
Die Anleitung enthält Textanweisungen für jeden Teil der Socken und einige allgemeine Hinweise zum Stricken passender Socken in Jacquard-Technik, weiterhin Strickschriften für den Musterrapport und eine zusammenfassende Tabelle mit allen Maßen und benötigten Wollmengen.
