STEM Cardigan
The STEM Cardigan is a cozy, oversized brioche cardigan with cables that mimic stem and leaf structures. We decided to go one step further with the theme, referencing the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) programs responsible for leading the next generation into science and technology higher education and careers.

NOTES
- The body of this cardigan is worked back and forth in one piece to the underarm, then divided for working the fronts and back separately. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armhole and the sleeves are worked in the round from the top down with a short-row sleeve cap.
- A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
- In brioche stitch, when counting stitches, each slipped stitch with its companion yarnover counts as one stitch. When counting rows, one visible row counts as two rows.
- Slip stitches purlwise.
