This pattern was originally created by me using Medium Weight yarn with an H size hook, and for a 16 oz stemless wine glass.

I have also made these with several different sizes of thread, just doubling up on the smaller ones, & it works great. Same size hook – H. I would say this is beginner-intermediate only for the sake of the alpine stitch.

Pattern does include instructions for smaller-sized wine glasses & also suggestions for glasses larger than 16oz.
