Top down cardigan designed for newborns. The Yoke is increased by eyelets, giving the stems pattern. Sleeves and body are the result of dividing the yoke in sections.

Use:

  • Yarn: Fingering (Debbie Bliss, Rialto 4ply), 75gr, approx 297yds (272m)
  • Needles: US size 3 (3.25mm)
  • Gauge: 28 sts x 4” (10cm)
  • 4 stitch holders
  • 5 little buttons (⅜”)
  • Sewing needles

The same instructions included in this design are suitable for creating cardigans for babies up to 3 months old just by increasing the size of the needles and yarn.

Design is best suited for intermediate knitters. Novice knitters may find some difficulties picking up the body stitches or handling the 200 stitches that it requires.

Even though the pattern does not call for knitting in the round, circular needles are recommended because of the number of stitches.

The document includes 4 pages of instructions, fully detailed with charts and pictures.
