Stepwise Sweater
Stepwise Sweater is a sweater with raglan increases and it is knitted top down.
For the cast on you will use tubular cast on 2+2 rib och for the bind off you will use tubular bind off 2+2 rib.
The sweater continues with a slightly higher neckline and in order to raise the back piece and to get a more comfortable garment you knit short rows.
When all the raglan increases are knitted you put the stitches for the sleeves on separate threads, cast on stitches for the armhole and knit the body in stockinette and finish with a ribbed and split hem.
The stitches for the sleeve are put on the needle and the sleeve is knitted in a rib pattern.
There are no decreases on the sleeves and the shape of the sleeve is obtained by gradually decreasing in needle size.
In addition to yarn and knitting needles, you need five markers (to make my life a little bit easier I prefer to have the raglan markers in different colors to be able to more easily distinguish between M1, M2, M3 and M4), stitch holder or extra yarn for the stitches of the sleeves and a darning needle.
