The Sticker vest is inspired by the vibrant and carefree spirit of the Mediterranean summer, capturing elements of its playful charm, such as sea creatures, fruits, and nature motifs. The design blends fun, colorful appliqués with a versatile crochet structure, making it suitable to wear it in any season. The real charm lies in its personalization—each person can choose which appliqués to add, making the vest uniquely theirs while keeping the joyful, summery spirit alive all year-round.

This is a graded crochet pattern. Designed to have some ease, each size has a measurement and a stitch count, so it’s easy to understand how big the piece will fit on your body. If you prefer an even looser garment it is advised to upsize by one size, in case you will use it more as a layering piece on top of a thick sweater. Sizes available range from XXS to 4XL.

• This pattern includes detailed instructions, but it is advised for confident crocheters who are familiar with crochet terminology, and have some knowledge in reading crochet patterns. If you are a intermediate but willing to learn, the pattern is very clear and will be a good chance to learn more advanced skills.

• Skills: I-cord foundation chain (includes tutorial), chain, slip stitch, sc, hdc, dc. (basic crochet stitches), dc decrease, mattress stitch or flat slip stitch seam.

• Appliqués: Each appliqué has a written description and a chart.

Materials:
-Vest yarn: Medium weight 4 yarn. Worsted/Aran type.

-Appliqué yarn: Fine weight 2 yarn. Sport type.

-Yarn material: This project utilizes a medium weight 4 yarn (worsted), crocheting with a hook (4mm). It will be a slightly loose garment. If you are making it for autumn/winter you can use warm fibers such wool, acrylic, mohair or alpaca blends, or If you live in a warmer climate you could make your vest from cotton, linen, bamboo or Tencel.

A secondary yarn is used for the appliqués, and it is recommended to use cotton to ensure the shapes are more defined.
