Sticks & Stripes is a collaboration with Wing & A Prayer Farm and Long Island Yarn & Farm. Tammy and Tabitha, farm and fiber friends, asked me to make something with their complementary farm yarns. Featuring a bold geometric motif in natural sheep colors, the Sticks & Stripes Cowl highlights the best that farm yarns have to offer. The fabric is lush and next-to-skin soft while creating a double-thick layer to keep you warm. Choose two natural colors with strong contrast for a modern look, or play with color to complement your cold-weather wardrobe. The cowl is worked entirely in the round and grafted together for a clean finish.

Yarn A: Wing & A Prayer Farm, Thelma & Louise (DK weight, 50% wool, 50% mohair; 100g/ 230yds 210 m; 1 skein Natural White
Yarn B: Long Island Yarn & Farm, 2 ply Sport Weight (75% llama, 25% US merino; 105g/200yds 183 m); 1 skein Heathered Black-Brown

Or 220yds 201 m of Yarn A and 200 yds 183m of Yarn B.
Needles

Two 16in 40cm circular needles in size US 5 3.75 mm. The second needle is used for the grafted join. Always use the correct needles needed to achieve gauge.
Gauge 23 sts and 21 rounds = 4x4in 10x10cm in Fair Isle pattern, after blocking.
