The perfect pair for gift giving, or just keeping for yourself. This set will look great in any color combination you choose.
The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up with a band of slip stitch color work just above the brim. The cowl is worked back and forth, reversing the colors from the hat, and buttonholes added in the garter stitch borders as you knit.
One skein of each color should make both hat and cowl as shown. Both pieces can be made with the same color used for the slip stitch pattern, but you will probably need a second skein of the MC for the largest size hat and cowl combo.
Finished Measurements:
Hat: 17 1/4 (18 3/4, 20 1/2)“ / 44 (47.5, 52) cm circumference and 7 1/2 (8, 8 1/4)” / 19 (20.5, 21) cm long
Cowl: 23 1/4” / 59 cm long and 6 1/4” / 16 cm deep.
