I wanted to make a long scarf with only knits and purls but also wanted it to have an interesting and appealing texture. I had a large ball of this big-box-store-acrylic in my stash, and this is the design that I came up with for this dusky pink yarn. This scarf is an easy knit but is challenging enough to hold your interest. The motif on this scarf resembles stone or wooden columns, so I called this Stipere which is Old English for a post or support pillar.
