Introducing the latest in my stitch study series, a scarf this time of Chevron Rib – a simple knit and purl sequence, worked in a previously daunting to me 18 stitch by 4 row repeat. And I’m now happy to report, after just a few rows, I found it wasn’t so daunting at all. Garter Rib trims its edges, following the rhythm of the chevron waves. Yarn
Shown in Woolstok Worsted yarn by Blue Sky Fibers. (100% Fine Highland wool; 123 yards /112 m per 50g skein); color – Drift Wood; 5 skeins, or for comparable yarn, approximately 615 yds/ 565 m.

Needles
US6/ 4.0mm or size to obtain gauge
• 1 24”/ 60 cm circular or 1 pair straight

Notions
• Stitch markers, varying colors helpful
• Tapestry needle
• T-pins for blocking

GAUGE (after blocking)
• 20.8 sts and 32 rows = 4”/ 10.2 cm in Chevron Rib

SKILLS REQUIRED
Long-tail CO, knitting, purling, and blocking.
