Details of the London project it is part of are below:
Welcome to the laboratory, Dr Frankenstitch
Stitch London teamed up with London’s Science Museum to create a Stitch Yourself exhibit for the re-opening of their Who Am I? gallery in June 2010. Folks were invited to contribute a tiny Stitched Self and take part in scientific stitching history.
Contributions came from all over the world.
Your Stitching + Creativity = A Stitched Self
Hours were spent in the dank shadows of the Stitch London lab conducting all manner of crafty stitching experiments to produce three ‘blank body’ patterns.
These are the humble beginnings of your handmade ‘Stitched Self’.
You can see what happened on the Stitch Yourself night here.
Please note: All profits from the Stitched Self Blank Body Pattern will go towards keeping Stitch London teaching, meeting and sending out newsletters for freeeeeeeeee!
