STOL Shawl is a shawl I designed for a knitting contest with TKGA. I won a judge’s prize in that contest for this design.

STOL Shawl is completely reversable and each side is unique.

The main shawl is a simple pattern making it easilly adjustable for larger sizes. The feathers are easier than they look as well, making this a relatively easy project to complete.

The gauge is just a guideline and isn’t super important. I used a circular needle for the main shawl and straight needles for the feathers.

I used 3 skeins of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes (col: Bare) but any size 4 (worsted weight) yarn should work equally well. If adjusting to make a larger shawl be sure to purchase more yarn.

I used wooden beads in my design but any bead that is large enough for a couple layers of yarn to fit through would work well to create your own unique shawl.

I used a stitch holder and wooden beads to create a “shawl pin”. The instructions for this are included in the pattern but it is optional as any shawl pin you choose would work.
