Design is comprised of strips knit in each shade and then woven together using the accompanying chart.

Each strip is 1.5” (4 cm) deep, including the cast off edge.

Rowan suggests using a circular needle at least 40” (100cm) for ease in knitting - especially when you are making the horizontal strips (406 sts).
