Stoney Lake Sunset
The shawl is worked in one piece starting at one side with a short cast on. The shawl increases in width for about 1/3 of the yarn, remains constant for 1/3 and decreases for 1/3 of the yarn. The lacey edges are worked at the same time as the body.
The shawl can be made smaller or larger by altering the number of increase repeats (and corresponding decrease repeats).
The shawl can be made wider by adding repeats to the lacey border
This is an ideal pattern when a single skein of luxury yarn or handspun is available.
This is one of 3 shawls inspired by visits to our cottage on Stoney Lake, in the Kawartha Region of Ontario.
The sunsets are breathtakingly beautiful at the lake. Every few minutes the skies change in colour and texture.
Please note that the last 2 coloumns on chart 2 should be a ktbl and not a m1 (the 2 symbols are very close).
This will be corrected in the near future, during the next update
