This shawl in stripes alternating between Stockinette stitch and small lace insertions is easy, yet interesting to knit. It was designed with the idea to combine a rather solid colourway with a variegated one. Stopover refers to the fact that there are always parts which are rather ‘mindless’ knitting with less concentration needed; taking a breather from the lace panels, so to speak.

This triangle shaped shawl is knitted from the top down. It is started with a garter tab cast on.

3.25 mm / US size 3 circular needle, 100 cm (40”) or longer
A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
