Crochet yourself a lovely storage basket! This basket is both stylish and useful - making a brilliant home for all kinds of things - toiletries, WIP craft projects, accessories or even fruit and veg if you use a suitable yarn.

Alternatively you could use the pattern to make brilliant gifts - the basic pattern requires around 1.5 balls of chunky/bulky yarn, so it’s not going to break the bank either!

This is a very versatile pattern - the basic instructions will give a basket that’s 30cm (12”) high by 18cm (7”) across, but you can vary the yarn and the hook size to make different sizes.

An experienced crocheter will be able to work up one of these baskets in an evening - no problem. But it would also be fun (and not take too long) for a beginner. I’ve included very full instructions, with lots of photos, to make it a straightforward project with enough of a twist to keep it interesting!
