As a child I was terrified of thunderstorms. But as I grew older I soon learnt to love their arrival. Day or night. I just love the sound, the pictures they create in the sky and the bouncing rain!

The Cascade 220 Superwash Effects in Lightning Storm and Graphite remind me perfectly of a thunderstorm. But don’t like me dictate the colours!

You will need 4.5mm and 5mm needles for this scarf. The 5mm needles are used for the small amount of colour work to help stop this section becoming too tight.

You will need 1 x Lightning Storm and 3 x Graphite to complete this. If you want, keep it as a scarf, or seam it up and make a snuggly cowl!

This pattern is suitable for an advanced beginner. Or even a beginner wanting a new challenge!

Matching mittens coming soon!
