Storm Clouds
by Jan Eaton
From the Pattern Introduction: Inspired by the groups of double crochet stitches that make up a traditional granny square, this stitch has a strongly patterned surface when worked in stripes of graduating color. For a different effect, incorporate two-row stripes of matching eyelash yarn.
Pattern Repeat: This pattern is worked in a multiple of 17 chains plus 3.
Notes on gauge: As with all of the stitch patterns in this book, the gauge is flexible depending on your yarn and hook choice. This stitch is popular for use in blankets.
Related Patterns: Pattern number 64, Softly Gray, is the same stitch pattern with different type of yarn.
Pattern number 63 in the book, page 47.
