Storm Dragon shawl
Dragons appear in so many stories from all over the world, and they have always fascinated me. They are magical, can spit fire, can fly, and depending on the lore, they have many other fascinating abilities. So, I decided to create a few designs inspired by them.
Storm Dragon is the second in a series of dragon inspired shawls and scarves.
This shawl starts with a crescent in garter stitch and ends with a lace edge that features a dragon-scale pattern with beads. The lace is a 16 stitch repeat over 10 rows. There are no increases in the lace pattern, and the beading occurs on the unpatterned wrong-side rows, making this suitable for intermediate lace knitters.
Instructions are for two sizes, using either two contrasting colours or a single colour.
Special thanks to Gannet Designs who designed the stitch pattern for the dragon-scale lace.
Pattern comes fully written and with a chart for the beaded lace section.
