This is a modern caplet designed to be versatile and timeless. It can be worn over a blouse on a shopping trip, or over your winter coat to keep you warm against chills.

Skill Level – Beginner to intermediate

Yarn – 200g (7.05oz) /280m (306y) of 8wpi average, which is a heavy Aran to chunky weight. My yarn is handspun from my own hand dyed fibre, but you could easily use commercial yarn.

Needles – 120cm/47” circulars 6mm/US10

Brooch – I bought mine from Ruth Robinson Ceramics on Etsy.

Sizing and Finished Dimensions – The sample is based on a 40” shoulder circumference, a 15” collar and a 40” bust with negative ease. With this in mind you may wish to tinker with the stitch count as you go tailor your measurements. We are working bottom up, so the item will be easy to try on as you go.
