This beanie is knit in the round on double pointed needles.

Cast on 112 stitches using long tail cast on US 3 DPN needles.

Knit in the round, K2 P2 rib for 19 rows, or to desired rib length depending if you want the brim shorter, longer, or folded. Mine is folded under and hand stitched on the inside.

Change to US 4 needles.

Knit the first round while decreasing k2tog every 28 stitches, 108 stitches remain.

Follow chart.

/ is k2tog (knit two together)

Once you’re down to 12 stitches remaining, cut yarn and sew through the remaining stitches.

I used ladder back jacquard technique to catch my long floats of more than 5 stitches between the storm troopers. Here’s a great video tutorial for catching long floats: https://youtu.be/UcQns-ON1nw?si=7-iWLC54-3UDc5Gm&t=157
