The Storm Watcher Toque was designed on Vancouver Island, with cold rainy winters and Pacific storm watching in mind. This classic bulky weight hat is extra cozy, and will keep you warm all winter long.

It is knit in 1x1 ribbing, with an optional (but highly recommended) tubular cast on edge, to give it that stretchy, yet polished look.

Sizes:
Adult S, (Adult M/L)
Fits a head circumference of approximately 54cm-57cm/21.25”-22.5” (57cm-60cm/22.5”-23.5”)

Techniques:
• Tubular cast-on
• Knitting in the round
• Decreases

Yarn:
Use 100g of any bulky weight yarn you have laying around!

Needles:
US size 10.5/ 6.5mm, 40cm (16”) circular needles
US size 10.5/ 6.5mm for crown decreases

Notions:
4 stitch markers, measuring tape, tapestry needle

Gauge :
17sts×20 rows = 4”×4” (10cm×10cm) in 1×1 ribbing (k1, p1), blocked. Do not stretch fabric while measuring.
