Don’t you just love an easy to knit hat that seems to fly off your needles?

If you said yes, then I know Storm’s A-Brewin’ will make it into your top go-to patterns. Knit with fingering weight yarn held double on size US 7 needles, it’s perfect for those last minute gifts, travel knitting, or any time you just need some instant gratification.

Worked in the round, this slightly slouchy beanie incorporates a twisted rib brim and diagonal lace columns to create an eye-cathing all-over design that spirals into a unique crown that looks amazing on it’s own or topped with your favorite style of pom pom.

Designed to fit most average adult sized heads 20-22”. This is a great hat pattern for an adventurous beginner or anyone looking for a fun, fast project. Skills required: working in the round, knit through back loop, yarn over, knit 2 together.

Yarn: Hypnotic Yarn Treat Your Feet fingering weight held double (80% SW Merino / 20% Nylon, 400 yds 365 m per 100 g skein). (would also look amazing held with a strand of lace weight mohair in a similar or contrasting color.)

Needles & Notions: US 7 / 4.5 mm with 16” / 40 cm cord for knitting in the round, or longer cord if Magic Loop technique is preferred. Or size to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rnds in pattern st = 4” / 10 cm.

Finished hat circumference is approx.18” and height is 8” unblocked/unstretched.
