Stormsailor Arctic beanie is the sequel pattern to the Stormsailor beanie, which was released in January 2024. Stormsailor Arctic beanie got its inspiration from a classic fisherman beanie. I wanted to design a simple beanie pattern, that will suit in every outfit! This beanie is worked with thicker Aran weight yarn, so it is the best option for colder winter weathers. The beanie is designed to cover the majority of your ear, so it’ll keep your ears warm.

Stormsailor beanie is worked top down using Aran weight yarn. Started from the crown by using Circular Cast-On method and working the crown increases. After increases you’ll only work 2 x 2 ribbing and a single knit stitch every now and then. This adds a nice little detail to the beanie. The brim is worked with the same 2 x 2 ribbing, and you’ll bind of in 2 x 2 ribbing, so the bind off edge is not too tight. The brim is folded one times to give the classic folded brim look.
