StormWatcher
The winds have picked up and the seagulls are calling “ Pull on your waders, throw on your StormWatcher Wrap and head down to the beach to watch the waves crashing on the shoreline.” The salty air tickles your nose, the wind makes your eyes water, and the seagulls are laughing as they catch wind currents and soar effortlessly above you. The Salish Sea is a blanket of white caps, seaweed and driftwood tumble and summersault in the churning waves as they break on the beach. Tomorrow will be a great day for finding beachglass!
While walking the shoreline one windy day, wearing a wrap with a favourite pin, I soon discovered the frustrating annoyance of continually readjusting it every time a gust of wind caught me. So, I decided to make a side buttoned wrap with a nice warm rolled collar to keep out the chill and the wind.
StormWatcher will keep you nice and cozy on those beachcombing adventures or nice walks in the woods. I knit this starting at the back bottom, up over the shoulders and down the front. One piece, no shoulder seems. This allowed me to place the buttonholes where I wanted them to be on the front as we all have our own preferences for ease and comfort.
