Stormy Skies Plaid Shawl
Stormy Skies Plaid Crochet Shawl/Wrap/Scarf Pattern
What screams autumn besides tweed yarn and warm shawls? Gingham, of course! This cute take on the classic gingham/plaid design is sure to warm hearts and inspire creativity. I went with blues for this design but any colour combo will work- pick a dark, mid, and light colour and follow along with the schematic in the pattern to make it your own. Purple, reds, oranges, greens, browns, greys, pinks…what colour will you make?
Made with City Tweed DK from WeCrochet/Knit Picks, it’s a Merino/Alpaca blended tweed yarn. It’s soft and luxurious and the drape is unreal. Not a fan of wool? No worries! Any DK weight yarn will do—just make sure to match the gauge :) You’ll need 1545 yds of DK weight to complete the shawl.
Pattern will include:
- yarn amounts.
- yarn colours.
- stitch glossary.
- printable pdf.
- full written instructions for granny square.
- full written instructions for triangle granny.
- video tutorials for the granny square, the granny triangle and the join as you go method of assembly.
Happy Crocheting Everyone!
