Stormy Sunset
The original pattern was knitted in pieces, with a shaped cast off to accommodate the yoke. In a method that seems odd to us now, the yoke was knitted separately in the round, using three needle sizes for shaping (there is no increasing or decreasing) and sewn on at the end. This modern re-interpretation is worked as a classic top-down yoked sweater – the yoke is shaped with three needle sizes just as in the original, but the sweater is made in one piece, with additional raglan shaping to fit at the underarm.
