Not only do the swirls remind me of the eye of a hurricane, but I was inspired by Bob Dylan’s protest song “Hurricane”.
Racial injustice is sadly still present in our society, and I believe it’s important to fight it.
That’s why, at the end of this pattern, you’ll find suggestions for Black-led charities to donate to.
Links to tutorials for all techniques used are listed in pattern resources. A chart is included for the hat body, but the pattern can be worked from written instructions without referring to the chart.
Gauge:
5.5 stitches and 8 rows per inch
Finished Length:
10.5”

Materials:
• 50g /128 yards Colour Flow by Estelle Yarns – Sample took 49g
• Knitting Needles size US 10 (6 mm)
• Darning Needle
