I wanted a simple little shelf that could help me out with kitchen space by moving my collection of tea off of the counter. I realized even in my small kitchen, I had all that unused space underneath the cabinets that I could take advantage of! So I created this “stowaway” hanging shelf that collapses down when I don’t need it but hangs there displaying my tea selections when I do!

This pattern uses one or two skeins of most basic worsted cotton yarns, and a few metal rings available at most craft stores. It would make for a great gift for someone moving into a new place! Gauge is also flexible if you want to switch up hoop sizes, use different yarns, or play around with the size of the entire shelf!
