The Stowaway is a rectangular shawl made with a soft Silk Mohair yarn, and the lace pattern is simple and easy to memorize.
Stitches used include knit, purl, yarn over, knit two together, and slip slip knit.
Sample shawl was made with Knitting For Olive Soft Silk Mohair Yarn, 70% Mohair 30% Silk, in colourway Blue Tit. Any suitable lace weight yarn may be used.
Sample used 675 m (738 y), or 3 skeins. This produced a shawl 1.5 m (60”) long and .45 m (18”) wide. Shawl can be made a variable length. For example, 450 m (492 y) makes a shawl approximately 1m (40”) long.
