-this is the first of a series of knitted cowl design modules with alternative stitch patterns to follow - in two widths/depths and as part of a follow up sequence of designs to match with Let’s knit slouch hat entitled ‘Head Turner’ September 2021 issue - designed in ‘pussy willow’ rib stitch inspired by ‘Japanese Stitches Unravelled’ by Wendy Bernard - a pattern designed for knitters of some experience and worked on circular needles - in the round - with one hank of the beautiful Fyberspates Vivacious 4ply merino - hand dyed in Peru - with a soft textural handle and a superb selection of brilliantly dense colours to choose from -

Gauge - this is worked out according to the ball band on smaller needles and then transposed to the larger (3.75mm) needles for the actual project to give a loose stretchy rib effect -

Sizes: circumference - approx
1) deep and narrow - after blocking - 25cm x 60cm
2) shallow and wide - after blocking - 12.5cm x 120cm
