Strand Sweater
The Strand Sweater is a cropped, versatile eyelet and rib sweater with raglan shaping. It is a product of the time I was “stranded” in Oslo and took a 26-hour bus ride back home to the Arctic circle, past many beautiful Norwegian beaches (or “strand” in Norwegian).
The body and sleeves are knit from the bottom up and joined at the armholes for raglan decreases. Optional short rows are knit to increase the back length of the sweater and the collar is knit in 1x1 twisted rib and folded.
Note that the eyelet and rib motif is charted only.
