INTRODUCTION:
This is a slipover & collar pattern knitted straight and top-down, with a 6-stitch repeated wavy cable pattern. The back panel is worked first and then stitches are picked up at each shoulder to form the front panel. Each panel is worked straight and the collar is worked in the round with 1 x 1 ribbing.

The wavy cable design is inspired by the wild Atlantic waters of Strandhill in Co. Sligo.

SIZES:
To fit sizes A (B) C (D), as below:
Size A: to fit a chest size of 28-35 inches / 71–90 cms
Size B: to fit a chest size of 36-43 inches / 91–110 cms
Size C: to fit a chest size of 44-55 inches / 111–141 cms
Size D: to fit a chest size of 56-63 inches / 142–160 cms

EASE:
Note: the finished garment has approximately 2-3 cms / 1 inch of positive ease. The ease has been factored into the sizes noted. Please choose a size according to your actual chest measurements.

ESTIMATED YARDAGE:
Collar:
Size A: 560m for each strand of yarn
Size B: 630m for each strand of yarn
Size C: 690m for each strand of yarn
Size D: 740m for each strand of yarn

Slipover:
Size A: 915m for each strand of yarn
Size B: 1040m for each strand of yarn
Size C: 1150m for each strand of yarn
Size D: 1250m for each strand of yarn

TOOLS REQUIRED:
3.5mm needles (straight) for the body, switching to 3mm needles (straight) for the hem; 3mm circular needles (40cm length) are required for the collar; Cable needle; Stitch markers.
