The Strapping Bearded Hat is a cute and humorous way to keep the face, ears and head warm in chilly outside weather for all ages, sizes and genders! Written for three sizes (infant, child and adult), the entire family can sport a beard! The beard in this design is removable and adjustable, and the squishy and cozy double brim cap can be worn independently from the beard. If a different hat design is preferred, the directions for the beard may be followed and attached to other hats too!

This is an advanced beginner/intermediate knit. Skills required for this design are knitting the round, knitting flat, picking up stitches, decreasing, yarn over, casting on in middle of work, binding off in middle of work, weaving in ends and sewing buttons.
