This gorgeous blanket is perfect for a new baby from birth onwards.

A great beginner project (or TV knit for more experienced knitters), the colour block stripes are easy to work and make for any number of different effects when in wear, meaning it’s a really pretty and interesting blanket to wrap a baby up in.

The soft drape of the yarn makes for a lovely fabric which is cosy without being too warm, yet strong enough to use for swaddling. The featured yarn is machine washable, which is a great help for new mums - no wonder I’ve been knitting these like mad recently!!

You’ll need 4 x 50gm yarn and the pattern is written to avoid wastage.
