Stratos
Stratos combines Mock Cables and stockinette and is perfect to show off a gradient or semisolid yarn!
Mock Cables imitate the look of a cable --- without the use of a cable needle! The Mock Cable Section flows out from the center of this crescent-shaped shawl, flanked by stockinette stitch. Then Mock Cables are worked over the length of the shawl as a border. An I-Cord Edging adds a neat finish to this shawl.
For my sample, I used appr. 400 yards of fingering weight yarn. With an extra ball of yarn, the Mock Cable Border can be repeated more often to make Stratos even larger!
