Strawb Satchel
description:
The strawb satchel is an adorable fruit-shaped bag for foraging, gathering treasures and guarding small knitting projects. It should be approached with whimsy in mind! There is no colourwork as the seeds are added later using duplicate stitch. You could easily change the style of the bag by knitting a shorter length handle. This project requires both flat and circular knitting.
finished measurements:
At widest point before drawstring closure: 28cm / 11”
Length (not including handle): 23cm / 9”
Handle length (folded): 63.5cm / 25”
yarns:
Main Colour (MC) Paintbox Cotton DK in Rose Red (125m / 137yds per 50g): 1 skein.
Contrast Colour 1 (C1) Paintbox Cotton DK in Racing Green (yardage as above): 0.25 skein.
Contrast Colour 2 (C2) Paintbox Cotton DK in Buttercup Yellow (yardage as above): very small quantity needed for duplicate stitch. You could use embroidery floss instead.
