An intermediate knitting pattern for a sweet #strawberry Baby/ Toddler Hat. This is a pattern that requires magic loop technique and some basic knitting knowledge. Chart for each size and written pattern included in the PDF.
This pattern is available in a scale for Newborn, 1-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months and 12 months- 2yrs.

Popular in Scandinavia, you see many children wearing #strawberryhat and blueberry hats (the same but using blue main color yarn opposed to red). Traditionally they have a curled stockinette brim and have a small stem adorning the top. This version has curved leaves achieved through the method of reductions to add an extra polished look. I named my version the Sandby Hat as I spent all of my childhood summers by the small beachside village of Sandby. My summer memories were filled with a salty sea breeze, the smell of house paint and the sweet taste of strawberries in milk sprinkled with sugar.

Gauge: 20 sts x 26 rows = 10x10cm
Magic loop method (alt dpns) / stranded colorwork method with max 2 colors per row

Materials needed:
- (50) 50 (100) 100 (100)g of Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt or (50) 50 (100) 100 (100)g Sandnes Garn Double Sunday in a red of your choice
-50g of a Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt or Sandnes Garn Double Sunday in a green of your choice (this can also be scraps of a similar weight)
-50g of Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt or Double Sunday in a beige or white of your choice (this can also be scraps of a similar weight)

• 4.0mm circular needles with a 60cm cord (80cm recommended for the largest size)
• 10 Stitch markers with one in a contrasting color for BOR and some extra in case you want to track cm length etc -Tapestry needle -Scissors
