Alpaca is a superior fiber for baby clothing. Alpaca is very soft, warm, and hypoallergenic. It’s also VERY durable and can last through multiple children. These are a great present for expecting mommies!

I used to make and sell these mittens locally for profit. They’re very easy to make and an excellent introductory pattern for someone learning to knit in the round.

These mittens are knit to be very stretchy and can be altered by rolling up the cuff. They’re knit to expand gently around the wrist without the use of elastic or other constricting elements.

Sizing
Rolled (Newborn - 6 months):
• 2 1/2 inches in length
• 2 inches wide
• Cuff has about 1 inch circumference but can be comfortably stretched to 3 inches.

Unrolled (6 months - 1 year +):
• 3 inches in length
• 2 inches wide
• Cuff has 2 inches circumference but can be comfortably stretched to 4 inches.
